Cage Wheel is a device to increase the traction performance of a tractor in wet paddy field. Effectiveness of a cage wheel as a traction aid with driving tyres of agricultural tractors in wet paddy field. The measurement were made in a wet paddy field in a hardpan 30-40cm deep in which tractor are not likely to operate without a traction aid. The traction developed by individual lugs of a cage wheel decreased due to their interference.
